The European Business and Parliament Scheme s meant to further MEPs understanding of business issues. According to the Parliament.com website there are concerns that it is doing something very different:

Its apparent aim of furthering MEPs’ understanding of business in reality provides multinational companies with exclusive opportunities to access and influence MEPs.

What is worse is that it does this at the public’s expense.
