Rearguard Action
Iain Duff, of the Scottish Council for Development and Industry, (Letters, 1 September), denies there is a rearguard action by vested interests to prevent the Scottish parliaments standards committee from registering lobbyists. But the evidence is clear.
The campaign has resulted in a number of articles
popping up in the press. All of these interventions sing from the same hymn
sheet, raising objections to lobbying registration, which curiously coincide
with the interests of those making them.
